It all began with a mysterious golden envelope arriving in your mailbox. Neither stamped nor postmarked, the envelope contained a golden card that stated Robert had been selected to compete on a new reality show entitled “World’s Greatest Human”. Although he hadn’t actually signed up to participate on any show he took the next morning’s limousine ride to the airport where he met with other contestants and boarded a private jet for the flight to the private island where he met still other contestants and the show would take place. Once on the island Robert was introduced to the host who claimed to represent a reclusive billionaire who would make the winner into the World’s Greatest Human. What exactly the title of World’s Greatest Human entailed was not explained to him, but the prize money offered to those who did not win the competition was substantial enough that Robert didn’t really worry about it. The competition lasted several weeks and tested Robert to the limits and beyond in every way imaginable, but in the end, he was victorious. Then Robert was told the truth. There was no reality game show. There was no reclusive billionaire. It had all been a test, a test to find the one human worthy of a very special gift: the Omicron Elixir, which would turn Robert into the World’s Greatest Human. Thinking this was either a surprise challenge or some elaborate ceremony he eagerly drank down the golden liquid. In an instant Robert felt an incredible rush of power course through him, bestowing upon him the superpowers he currently possess. In that very same instant everyone and everything relating to the show vanished; host, crew, fellow, buildings, all gone. Robert still don’t know what it all means. The only thing he knew for sure is that he has incredible powers; whether Robert is indeed the World’s Greatest Human is something for others to argue about, for his part, Robert intends to do his best to live up to the name.

Good to know that he's 6`3 because I was planning on having my version of him being 6`4 like how the Christopher Reeve-Superman was 6`4(people can forget how tall Reeve was prior to his tragic 1995 accident that left him paralyzed for the rest of his life until he passed away in 2004).
I knew that Champion needed to be a tall guy-not 7 feet tall or close to it,like an original character of mine,another Superman-like character will be but he needs to be tall. In my mind,it just doesn't work if you have a Superman-like character who is under 6 feet tall.I can't imagine a 5 foot tall Superman or a 5 foot tall Superman-like character.Being short works for certain characters but it wouldn't work for Superman or a Superman-like character,
Many of the villains that Champions goes up against to fight in the graphic novels will be towering over him(many of them will be anywhere from over 7 feet tall to 13 feet tall) and that's something very intentional on my part. I want many of the villains to be so huge and menacing that they make a tall,jacked dude like Champion look short like how Dwayne''The Rock''Johnson looked small in a picture because he was standing next to Shaquille O' Neal in the picture.
And I like that he's 27!
That's about the age I wanted him to be,too in the comic-anywhere from his mid to late twenties,so 27 can work!
